About CFC

Child and Family Connections (CFC) is a non-profit agency established in 2001 to perform the duties of the lead agency for community-based care in Palm Beach County. It is the single point of organizational accountability for developing and managing the system of care to achieve desired outcomes for children.

CFC is directly responsible for administrative services including financial management; planning, development and oversight of provider network; data services, communications, quality assurance, training, as well as intake, family preservation and placement services.
 
As the lead agency, CFC holds the contract for all child welfare services previously performed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Direct case management services for children and their families are delivered by Children’s Home Society of
Florida and Eckerd Community Care. Many other partner agencies and providers within our system of care deliver other important services and supports for our families.
 
CFC’s network of partner agencies provides:
  • Child abuse prevention
  • Family crisis intervention
  • Diversion services to keep children safely in their homes
  • Family preservation
  • Independent Living guidance for teens in foster care and those who have aged out of the foster care system
  • Case management through dependency court supervision
  • Foster parent recruitment, training, licensing and support
  • Adoption recruitment & pre- and post-adoption support
  • Mental health services
  • Shelter and residential group care
